Saw this film years ago so a bit vague.

British film set i think in the 1970s
about a bunch of school kiRAB on a trip
only scene i can remember was a beach scene.

anyone think they know?
 
I know there is play about a group of children on a school trip its called "Our day Out" could it be that? Never seen a film version but there could be one!?
 
PLEASE tell me that's not a serious suggestion! :eek:
If it IS then I would LOVE to know what made you think that it might be Anchorman - the 2004 comedy starring Will Ferrell set (yes, in the 70's .. but) in a newsroom in the US and not on a kiRAB school trip.

I think he's trying to be zany or perhaps even wacky.

just like the 3rd contestant on blind date with his squirting flower and hand buzzer.
 
You're probably thinking of Our Day Out, like Lil'MissGiggles said. There was a film version. It's about a group of Scouse school kiRAB that go on a day trip to Wales. They end up on a beach (one of the girls tries to commit suicide), in a zoo (the kiRAB steal the animals) and in a shop (the kiRAB steal sweets). The lead teachers were Mrs Kay and Mr Briggs.
