Name me some fish..for a community tank.?

I have a 55 gallon community tank, with slow moving and non-aggressive fish. I want to add some more fish I can easily get a hold of and are not very expensive but will add some more color and interest to my tank.
I have in my tank now
- 6 cherry barbs
- 1 Angel Fish (Going to get one more asap)
- 1 male and 1 female betta
- 4 black skirts
- 4 Serpae Tetras
- 1 Red Tailed shark
- 2 plecos

I have a well planted tank with 5 real plants and 1 ornamental plant
I have driftwood and plenty of hiding spots
My tank has an undergravel filter and the filter that hangs on the side of the tank
It also has a heater and has regular water changes
I'm looking to buy another type of fish whether it be a schooling fish or a loner. I don't want a fish that will fin nip or that will bully the fish I already have.
Please give me some idea's perhaps with links to websites about the fish

It's been set up for around 8 years..all of the fish are mature. My red tailed shark..is probably the calmest fish in the tank. The Serpae's are you sure? I've had them all for quite awhile also and I've encountered no problems with nipping. As I said before the fish in the tank have no problems with each other nipping nor anything else
 
How long has this been set up? There's several fish in there I wouldn't class as non-aggressive.

As Angelfish mature they become terrors and can easily take out curious Bettas. In general Bettas and Cichlids can't be mixed (and a male and female Betta together is exceptionally risky).

Those Serpae Tetras are some of the most notorious fin nippers, and in a group of only 4 that habit is only going to amplified. They shouldn't be kept with long-finned fish like Angels and Bettas.

The Red Tailed Shark becomes increasingly territorial as it matures.

Plecos - depending on what species you have - can be territorial towards each other. Many won't tolerate other Plecos and fights break out.

Maybe address these issues first. If these fish are juvenile and everything seems to be going well, it could well simply be a ticking time bomb.
 
You're just about stocked as it is, maybe over-stocked, depending on what kind of Plecos you've got. I would add one or two more to both of your tetra groups, as they need to be kept in groups of 5 or more, and call it a day. I would not suggest adding another Angel, unless you are certain of your current Angels sex, and add one of the opposite sex, or if it's a female, another female. Adding a male with another male who's already thinking the tank belongs to him is asking for trouble.
I also suggest removing the male or the female Betta. I know keeping opposite sex Bettas in a larger tank can work, but it's unusual, and they are likely stressing each other, which will lead to disease/illness, which you don't want in your aquarium.
 
DO NOT GET ANOTHEr ANGEL FISH. . .THEY WILL KILL EACH OTHER. . it would have been ook if u got them both at one time, but a new one would invade its territory. . ANGEL fish are aggressive fish. . and may end up eating ur tetras. . . id go with mollies platties and/or corycats..
