Here's a list of what I think are better than the originals:

Evil Dead II
Aliens
Terminator 2
The Dark Knight
Kill Bill: Vol. 2
Star Wars - Empire Strikes Back
Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers
Toy Story 2
The Bourne Supremacy

This is my choice of opinion only. What's yours? :)

Devil's Rejects
Majority of the Friday the 13th sequels



I still think that Terminator 2 being better than T1 is one of the biggest misconception's in movie history.
 
does 'star wars' attack of the clones count in respect to the turkey that was phantom menace! was a kinda sequel as part of the second trilogy.
 
Empire Strikes Back.

Can't think of any others. BTTF 1+2 and The Godfather 1+2 I rate as equals.

I'm just talking good movies here, not crap like Saw where I prefer 2 and 3 over part one.
 
No way was Aliens better than Alien. Aliens was just an action film like Rambo, Alien's far superior, the way it was filmed, the atmosphere etc.
