this book is about a haunted house. There is a family which want to move in to the house (the family is made from the parents and a young girl) because the parents want to adopt some kids. Even though this house is suppose to be haunted because of a diary which (i think ) one of the family's ancestor wrote. Even though on this diary the young girl (the family's ancestor )said how a servant want to take her but her grandfather "talk" with the servant and give him all the silver (I think I'm not sure) even though later the grandfather is killed by accident. When he is about to die he gives her granddaughter a book of edgar allan poe and tell her the secret is in there. As the girl from the diary live on the house she start to see things as faces on the ceiling, making her live in another place. Well know on the future the other young girl got the diary and read it, she at first don't want to live on the house but as she met some kids that the parents want to adopt she decide to move into the house. Now when someone is on the house at night thing start to happen so she goes in to a voodoo store and get a bag which protect her against the spirits. Well at the end the spirits end up being from the slave which the grandfather killed and put him between the walls such as one of the stories of edgar allan poe ( the cask of amontillado by edgar allan poe) well that like the main summary I need to know the name of the book and the author thank you
