N95: Will you buy when it is released? Or wait or Skip?

What can I say? I've been seduced several times over by the Finnish Beaut. I've got an N73 and E62, I'm debating now whether to sell them both for an N95 or an N75 + N800.

Sorry for another thread on N95. Since N95 release is fast approaching.. would like to know how many of us will buy right away when it is released or wait for 2-3 months or skip it for good.

I get your point on what you need and what you dont need but if that's the case then it's obvious you shouldnt even be looking at the N95 and just stick with the E70 which is a mighty fine phone on it's own.

........and show me a CPU that has a faster processor and more Ram that doesnt command a higher $$ amount. That's like saying the 8cylinder mustang shouldnt be priced different than the 6. Power=$$

If the screen had a higher resolution and the phone had a bigger capacity battery I would've gotten it without thinking twice. You guys are talking about the music and GPS. If you use all that plus some phone functions, then I don't think that the phone will last a day. As much as I loved my N80, I couldn't really use it for music when I was out because I was worried that the phone will die on me. Using the internet was even worse. The fact remains that N95 has a low 970mah battery, and you won't be able to enjoy the phone to its fullest capabilities.

Tough call. The N800 is a pretty nifty device. If the N95 supports flash for YouTube though, then it might not matter. One of the reps showed me a flash game from just a random flash site that you could play on the N800 and it was pretty cool. Here's a link to the game. http://www.miniclip.com/games/snow-line/en/

I'm going to wait about a week or two when the price settles to the "after-hype" price as I call it, and then spring for it. I'm willing to spend $700-800 for it. That's not quite near 2-3 months, so I voted for right when it comes out.

You're right, what I would really like is a cheaper E-series phone with GPS. Hopefully that will happen.

My point is that over time, processor/memory prices tend to stay the same while performance goes up. (I've been paying approximately the same price for computers for the last decade, yet my current computer is about 10x more powerful than my 1995 computer). The N95 is being release almost a year after the current crop of S60v3 phones. Its not unreasonable to expect a performance improvement without a price increase.

It will invoke memories of the under batteried N80 and N91. It should have a battery at least double that. My N91 wilts within 5 hours of solid music playing.
I think they need to up the battery capacity. Its like having a sports car with a small fuel tank. Doesn't work.

Will get a N95 after the hype and the prices die down a lot.

Probably they'll have an OEM high capacity battery to by later on their website, and because the phone is gonna suck up so much juice, people would opt to buy those batteries.
