N95 Sand Color...any regrets

I had only seen the plum and sand until I went to buy my N95 today and they pulled out the graphite. I preferred the plum previously, but have to say I really like the graphite now that I have it. Looks quite professional actually... :-)

sand looks blah and feels blah too..

the plum has a nicer rubbery feel and the contrast is sharper...but they should have made the front white...

FWIW, I bought mine in CPW today and the 'girl' behind the counter said the O2 ones were unlocked. Unfortunately by the time you pay for the phone plus the entire 12-18 month tariff I can't see this being very cost-effective.

Easy for you to say, you live in London. Do you think you could buy a graphite and resell it to our poor buddy here that desperately wants a graphite? lol

i dont know why they call it plum as the n73 comes in plum it looks more to me like maroon, its very nearly brown. Graphite is all over the uk as carphone warehouse do them on whatever network you want them on, its a carphone warehouse varient so who knows what they did with the original backs.

graphite has a timeless appeal. the phone looks classic and very exquisite, like a butler. ultimately, its bland and not deserving of next generation device the N95 is. however, its good for those that want an ultra conservative professional looking phone.

I bought it from a legit seller on ebay.co.uk But make sure they have great feedback and ask them for pictures of the phone (front and back) with their Ebay ID in the picture so you can confirm and verify that the phone is in their possesion. It's hard enough to find a graphite, but even harder to convince them to ship to the U.S. lol I tried talking to carphone warehouse....they didnt even give a reply so my last option was ebay...lol.

That link points to a post of an article with a video of the Nokia N95 Announcement from Open Studio NYC in September. There was never an official Nokia press release stating when the N95 would be sold in the US even though it was approved by the FCC in March.

FWIW, to those who're getting an APAC/Singapore version get the plum because the included Nokia holder is in a matching plum colour. Not sure if the sand has its own holder colour variant. If not, you'll be seeing your sand-coloured mobile through the hardware button openings of the plum holder. Not particularly nice IMHO.

Well....I picked up a Sand N95 yesterday.
I went to the store because they had only one left. I thought it was the plum version. My N73 was plum so I liked the color. When I came to the store they told me it was sand and I was very disappointed. I took a look at it and I was not sure to get it. They had a dummy plum N95 and after comparing them both I have to say I like the sand version better than the plum one.

So I am extremely happy now to own a sand N95.

Alex
