N95 Problem

A hissing high pitched sound is heard while on a phone call and here is another problem i have when the phone is on stanby mode and not in use, then i put my ear to the speaker, there is a buzzing hissing noise and thats with the phone doing nothing just on standby.. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes people have this issue. I have two units sitting at home that I need to check, so I can't comment personally. There are two active threads to look into: (1) N95 Issues and (2) N95 Build Quality. Both are active and on the first page of the s60 forum, so no links from me.
 
now you kinda scared me. Mine's still in the mail. And it's made in finland as well. It's gotta be the phone....since everybody is having this problem. what a bummer.

I just got my N95 from Nokia Chicago today and I don't have this issue. There's something strange about how callers sound through the earpiece, but no high pitch sound as people have been complaining about.
 
nokia made in finland ... is suppose to be better (rumors around hofo)
nokia made in nokia = nokia phones that was made around asia, has some flaws ( rumors around hofo)
 
How can you see the difference between those two, then? Is there any number on it or something that tells us that it's made by Nokia / in Finland?
 
I also picked up the N95 from Chicago, and I am having the same problem with the hissing. I think I have gotten a little more used to it, but when I first started using it, it really annoyed me.

I compared it earlier in another thread to an IPOD in a car. When you listen with your IPOD through the tape deck. If you have the volume on the IPOD to 100% you hear a hissing in the backround. If you turn it down to 75% then it is fine, and you can turn up the volume with the car stereo and it is fine.

So I don't think it is with the call itself, more with the inner stereo.
 
Hey guys, I have a question about the earpiece on the N95. Is anyone experiencing a echo'ing of some sort when your on a call? Because whenever i make a call, or if someone calls me (and i'm outdoors) I can hear my voice through my earpiece.. and all the surrounding noises around me VERY clearly..

Anyone else have this issue?? I really hope its just the phone.. cuz then i can replace it :P
