N95 or E90: That is the Question, or "The Monkey in the Middle Dilemma"

Im waiting for the E90 too. And knowing me, I would wait a couple more months after its released. I really try to wait until all the kinks are out before purchasing a new phone. Like the OP, I was debating if I should pick up an n95 for now but all this time I've been using Nokias I've secretly switch to Ericsson just to suffice my qwerty itch. Obviously it didnt work. Damn p910i and its non-lighting keyboard. I really enjoyed qwerty though.

doubt it....Was told by Nokia guys end of Q2....that after they said that N95 would be at the Nokia store in NYC in 2 weeks so in reality figure Middle of Q3

My silver N93 began to feel awkward from being so obvious in taking pics and video, so the smaller form factor of the N95 is what draws me to it.

The E90's size may rival that of the N93, and I don't think that's an issue I'm willing to deal with.
I also think that I may actually prefer my separate bluetooth keyboard to the E90 qwerty, since the buttons seem to be larger and easier to type on.

I also like having the 3.5 mm jack vs some adapter dongle.

The only reason I would EVER buy either an N95 OR an E90 would be US 3G. Nokia has left the US in the dust and kicked us while we're down Nokia, I hate you. (ps I also love you). How hard could it be, REALLY, to release a true high end smartphone, UNLOCKED w/ no carrier branding, in US 3G???

I'd think if you can afford an $800 phone, you'd be able to afford a phone slightly more at $1000+. If you can't afford to buy both at the same time, I don't think you should own something this pricey.

Did anyone ask you, what you wanted the phone to do for you?

For me E90 for bigger much bigger keyboard and not a peripheral, much larger screen to view and edit documents, those are my primary uses over the N95.

I have decided to return the N95.

Originally I thought to own both the N95 and E90, but no such luck.
I got the N95 and was not impressed.
I tried my best to like it, but the build quality just was not up to the N93. Despite the features, I just couldn't justify holding on to it anymore.

I have preordered the Nokia E90 and should hear word on it next month!

You should check it out. LA are, on Fair Fax. Second time I've gone, and you gotta finish the meal with their coffee. It seals the deal.

sorry, that was off the topic.

Yeah...that's why I returned mine as well as the poor battery life. I use to want the N95 over the E90, but now I've just ordered an E61i and wait for the E90. The E90 is a bit big, but it is a business phone and has fantastic multimedia features like A2DP and autofocus camera...I may be able to overlook the size.

I just figured that since I am used to the bulk of the N93, then the E90 shouldn't be too much of a problem. I guess I just need to have an actual device I can call a gadget...the N95's build just struck me as being more toy-like and it didn't feel solid or worthy of the money I was willing to spend.

I knew I should have stayed patient for the E90 instead of giving in to my tech toy addiction. Oh well, I have always wanted a communicator device and I am glad to see this E90 arrive just in time. I would have been ticked if I would have purchased one of the earlier models...I almost did about a year ago.

It's not about not spending the extra $40 on a 4GB card, the fact is MicroSD maxes out at 2GB.

I don't think you see my view on things. I am against the N95 and it's small memory capabilities.
