N95 New Firmware Update

Anybody heard about the new Nokia internal firmware update for the N95? Anybody tried it yet? Fix anything? Came out yesterday.

I haven't really noticed any bugs that need fixing to be honest.

I'm hoping for a slight improvement in battery life.

It'd be awesome if they opened up 2mb of RAM like hey did with the first N80 firmware update. It'd also be nice if the Video Center didn't crash the phone when I try to unsuccessfully watch YouTube videos. That's all I can think of right now. Other than that, everything seems to be running smoothly.

this needs to come out soon, my n95 crashed like 4 times in 2 days

Mine crashed 10 in 2 days. Though I was expecting it so I'm not exactly surprised nor really bothered. I do expect the newer software to make it more stable but at least the N95 isn't as slow as my N70 was (main reason why I sold it).

I have ~19 megs free with nothing running on my N95 right now. It'd be awesome if it was more, but is it really neccessary?

19MB should be good for most of the folks.. but few needs it more. Not sure why Nokia decided to put only 19MB on a ~$800 N95 where they put ~23MB on E65 which is half the price of N95! 4MB matters to some extent. Don't get it Nokia They could have easily added another 10MB to this little monster.

Here is one...well, not a bug...more like a cosmetic fix needed:

Go into your log and scan through your dialed, received and missed calls and you will notice that no matter what number was used, instead of using the correct icons (business, home, mobile, etc...) the icon used is all "mobile".

I have my contacts on my phone and not the SIM (if that makes a difference).

iunno which firmware you're talking about but i do see:

and the respective APAC versions as well. id be flashing BUT NO ONE WILL RESPOND TO MY PM ON PRODUCT CODE. (waiting for angel and oxy to let me know their product code for silent shutter in silent mode)
