N95 modem connection speed

Is there a setting to acheive a higher setting on the N95. I have a friend who is on t-mo in the UK and his TyTn connects at 1.6mbit, but the N95 only connect at around 468K, which is the same speed I get.

Sorry if this was covered somewhere else, I did do a search although it didnt turn anything up.

Any hints, tips or advice will be appreciated, tia!
 
Yep. Goto Tools ---> Settings ---> Connection ---> Packet Data and make sure High speed packet access is enabled. You can get a connection of up to 3.5mbps with this enabled (although as you can see on your friends TyTn, in reality is is much slower than this).
 
See thats the problem, all that is set to high speed packet data.

Im thinking its a driver issue on the PC side of things, as when you look at the port setting its capped at 480k!! If anyone knows how to fix this, it would be greatly apreciated!

It would also explain why net on the phone appears faster than when using the phone as a modem on the PC.
