N95 Gps

Which GPS software are you using for your N95 in North America. Canada & US?

As far as I have read, only Smart2Go works with the n95 at this time.

It's not true. I am using TomTom 6.5 with it and a Nokia BT LD-3W and it works just fine.....

Ya but the fact it has internal GPS and you have to use an LD-3W is the problem. I guess new software that detects internal GPS is needed

I got this info from Tomtom's website:

To select the your HP iPAQ 6510 or 6515's internal GPS receiver using Navigator 6, see following instructions:

1. Open the File Explorer and browse to the folder Navigator.
2. Delete the file navigator (be sure not to delete the file TomTom Navigator or you will need to reinstall the application).
3. Start TomTom NAVIGATOR 6.
4. When prompted, select Other NMEA GPS receiver.
5. Set the GPS baud rate to 4800.
6. Select Internal AGPS NMEA.

This is the method to detect the internal GPS on an HP 6515/6915. I suppose there should be some workaround for us too.

TomTom and others are currently working on an update so that their software will work with the internal GPS on the N95. It will not be long at all....

I hope in the next update tomtom adds a street name announcer. Instead of saying turn left, it should say turn left on "street name".

Sigh, i completely agree. Iguidance is the only software i have seen that announces street names. Its only a matter of time i suppose...

Quick question, for the Nokia MapLoader, does it automatically load into the Maps icon/application in the N95? (I'm talking about that globe thing when u go into the app)
