I wanted to know if new firmwire can fix the problem for the sound while recording videos because it is quite bad (hissing sound) heres the link http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/news/item/4943_VGA_video_recording_group_test.php. and also how long do u think it will be till they release a new fireware? I.E. (How long do they usually release it after a new phone?)


Also are there any other problems users are experiencing with the phone to do with camera (Images/Video)?


Also is there much difference between recording in mono or stereo?


And can new firmware increase the speed in which the camera loads or any other way as i have heard it takes 4-5 seconds?



Can someone post a video made inside with the n95 and is it true that the flash doesnt turn on when recording video.


Can you also in dark conditions because ive heard the flash isnt very good? Does that mean that u cant take good pictures where theres not much light.


How does the flash compare to the n70?


If anyone can answer these questions, sorry for a lot of questions im just concered bout them.

On the Euro model, the camera sound can be turned off. But as far as the APAC model, chopsu3i told me that even with firmware updates that there's no way to turn off the camera sound due to the fact that it's illegal in asian countries.
 
if you update the firmware to a EURO version the APAC n95 should be able to mute the shutter.

and op: yes alot of the slow downs on the n95 should be able to be corrected with future firmware updates...thats what we hope at least
 
Chopsu3i, can you notify me when the firmware updates are available? Thanks. My slider is rock solid now. I think the harderst part was putting it back together because the screws are so small. Also, you don't have to take off the bracket on the left side. Just take off the bracket on the right side and it gives you enough room to work on it. Thanks man!!!
 
The device in this video clip is actually a prototype and the hiss has been basically removed from the production models now. James Burland's creativelifeblog is probably one of the best around for image related issues, here's a post he did on the video



There is some difference but it's not all that noticable, the sound quality on the N95 is still really high, another one of James' posts where he recorded a concert, it's inside so gives you a good idea how it copes with that, and you can hear how good the band sound

.

The flash does suprisingly well, esepcially when combined with the night or nightportrait mode. The N95 user Flickr group has tons of photos that should be able to help you out .

We're always on top of the latest issues at WOM World as well, i hope that's helped you out a bit.
 
If you guys would take 3 seconds and read the 40934805384538945 other N95 threads you would know this.

Take a deep breath and get reading.

Don't reply saying "like omg i cant read all those threadz!" because you need to calm down and research your $800 purchase.

No, I will not answer any of these questions in this thread. I have already answered them in a dozen other threads.
 
I too need a fix for this. The slider is moving around 1mm up and down in closed position and its really irritating me.

Someone tell me how I can tighten the slider a bit.

Well, I have a production model N95 and the hiss in video clips is most definitely still there. Very annoying, in fact.
