N95 and NO 3g in the US Does nobody Care!!

If Nokia doesn't tie the phone to those fools at Cingular, they could probably get it out by late summer. Otherwise, that pitiful provider won't release it until late this year or early next year...if ever.

i don't care as well... for browsing, i only care about wifi... 3G is great for data, but that is something i do once every blue moon...

heck, i am not in the US of A, so no problemo for me....

Haven't tried 3G? Did you read my phone list? I do have a 3G phone with the TyTN. You really can't comment since you obviously haven't used a N95 with the built-in FP1 browser.

Truthfully it is about the same. 3g is straight for data, but when it comes to browsing, its kind of like edge when you compare the speeds. But that also depends on what s60 app your using too. 3g on the regular HTML nokia browser will move alot faster than edge would. But if you are using opera mini, the speeds are very comparable with the compression that happens so that it fits your screen. But then again you won't have the html like browsing. Honestly though 3g is better all the way around no matter what way you put it. Trust me, the main people that say it is not most likely have not used 3g before.

Well,
I for one certainly care that I paid over 7 bills for the 95 and now come to find that I cannot connect with anything with S P E E D . wait I take that back, If I am sitting next to my laptop, I can connect to the same wireless signal that it is on!! WoW real fun.

I have had conversations with Cingular several times to try to find out how to set up my phone for operation with my plan that I have with them, They have no idea!!! have not even heard of the phone...
I am currently on their smart phone connect?? (Is this correct)
So far I am not sure how to set my phone up to receive any email, I really only need my email from work.
I wonder if somehow it would be possible to receive the cingular cingnal for their laptop connect>>>> Is it not a faster connection????

Sorry for going on.. first time on this site, I am hoping for some help!!! with the N95.

Any direction, Advise, Anything would be appreciated greatly. as it is right now!! All I have is a very expensive cellular telephone.

No I have not used the N95 with the built in Fp1 Browser. How do you find browsing coming from a HTC/TyTn? Is it that much better? How about streaming Video?

Has anyone installed the latest Blackberry Connect? Have they finally solved that annoying issue where you cannot view any attached pictures sent to your blackberry email?

I guess I wont know until I take the plunge!! Thanks for the respond Jonny I just want to make sure that its going to be great device besides the No 3G in the US but as I've read many people seem to be happy with there N95's

Why didn't you just say that in the first place?

You can't go wrong with the N95, 3G or not. The release firmware is the most stable firmware I've ever seen on a phone at launch and it's only going to get better. You won't be disappointed.

I don't have a problem with 3G. To be honest, I'm a little surprised at the speed I get via WiFi. Check these screenshots usingn DSLreports mobile speed test.

Top one is EDGE, bottom results after switching to WiFi. Access point is an Airport Extreme.
