N95 and N93i. Which has the better screen??

So after deciding for long, ive decided between this 2 phones. The screen quality is very important to me and will help so much in my decision So which actually has the BRIGHTER screen of them? And which is more VIBRANT and COLORFUL?? So in terms of

- Brightness (AT maximum brightness, i always use screen on max brightness ) Most important aspect

- vibrant colors

- photo viewing

- clarity

Thanks guys

It's bigger, but due to the same pixels amount (qvga) the overall result should be worse. Although most won't notice the difference and probably say it's better because it's bigger.

Best screen ever in Nseries line was N80, N90....

n90 O_O that phone's screen is pure crap. my friend has it and its no where near as good as the N73 or even the N91 (and n91 screen is probably really really ****)

you dont know what ur talking about, as the N90's screen higher resolution 416x352 screen makes it better, due to it being high res u can't even see the pixels with the naked eye, same thing with n80. sure n73 and n93 is biigger, but bigger with lower res makes it actually worse.n91 has one of the worst screen in nseries line. brighter and bigger screen is not better, ideally it should be big and high res.

I disagree.
I prefer the brighter and bigger screen of the N73 to the small screen of the N90.
QVGA is enough resolution for me.

There's a reason why Nokia has stuck with QVGA on the Nseries instead of pushing the resolution. Screens are just too small for many users to push up the resolution. If you have to hold the screen so close you can see the pixels the resolution is too high or the screen too small. The N95 has a huge 2.6" screen in a very compact form factor. Therefore, its a very pleasant experience viewing. I don't have to hold the screen extremely close either, therefore I don't suffer the pixel argument. The number of colors available is very import for imaging. More so than resolution on a camera phone. 16m on the N95 is great. You can't make up for colors where you can pan and zoom in place of resolution.

But that's a opinion, not a fact. I do know that the term "better" is subjective
, but we can all agree that the ideal screen would be big, high res, larg text elements and pictures elements so you can read it comfortable, bright and vibrant.

Eventhough the screen is amller on N90 and N80, most will agree (if not they aren't looking wel enough ) that the N80, N80 screen is clearly better looks almost painted on.

I had an N95 for a couple of hours and yes, N80?s screen is way better (resolucion), N80 has the best resolucion screen of an N-series, the problem: small.

The only reson why I havent upgraded to N95 is the screen lower res and cheep feeling against n80 metals

What's that got to do with anything?!

If it were metal, it's only a tiny thin sheet. I fail to see how this adds solidity to the design of the N80 . Perhaps if you were talking about comparing the 8800 to the N95...

In the hand, the N95 essentially feels idential to the N80, only slimmer.

And apparently, the whole silver front cover of the N95 is magnesium alloy.

That's the biggest reason not to jump for an N80 or any of the 352x416 screens: size. They may look fantastic, but it's near impossible to go back to a screen that small after using something like the N73 or even worse the N95.

Nokia made a good decision in ditching the 352x416 resolution though. Aside from it being easier to create themes, this allows the opportunity for VGA screens to be fitted into upcoming models (FP2).

You really must need to see an ophthalmologist or something. The N90 has the best screen I've ever seen in a mobile device. That thing has 259 pixels per inch (yes I calculated it out) meaning that it is for all intents and purposes print quality.

Yes, looking at that screen was like looking at a backlit glossy magazine.

Even lay people who looked at my N90 would comment on how "clear" that display was.

Sure, I do too. However, I thought the move from an N90 screen to N93 screen was a move backwards in the screen department. The move from N90 to N95 screen, even though the pixel pitch is even worse than the N93, was to sufficient size that it was worth the resolution loss. The way forward is really 640x480 and I have a feeling that the next Nokia N-series flagship will have it, and hopefully the OMAP 3430.
