N90: Sometimes defaulted to Nokia tune for incoming call?

Ive had this issue on almost all series 60 phones I have had. 6600,6620, 6682, 6630 etc. In all cases the ringtone was on the memory card (not nokia but 3rd party manufact.)

Upon moving the ringtone to the phone memory the issue was resolved. Something about the read speed of the memory card. This would come and go and having the ringtone on the phone memory is not my fav thing to do on phones like 6682, 6630 since they have low built in memory
 
yeah ive been having the problem ever since i got it and that was seven months ago. moved the ring tones to the internal memory and still the same problem. Wonder why nokia never issued a patch online like the n70.
 
Because the bug is in the firmware, not an application.

If you get your handset updated to current code the problem goes away.

(My N90 was never happier)
 
I'm running 3.0535.4.3 on my N90 and I have had the problem once in the span of 4 months, but it was shortly after my phone had been turned on, turned off, and then turned back on. I just assumed it couldn't load my reqular ring tone from my card for some abstract reason. I'd bet that it's some kind of glitch in the way the phone reads the card, it'll probably be fixed in the next firmware vers.......when ever that comes out.
