N82 with Apple headphones?

What does the audio system one chooses have to do with what car they have?

I know what you're trying to say and yes it's up to the person to decide if it's worth it to them. It's just something worth considering that's often overlooked. Just know that buying a nice sports car and then craping out on the tires only makes the wheels spin -- the car's abilities are limited by the tires. The same idea is applied to music.

Besides, headphones can be used for more than just the phone.
 
Shures aren't even that good unless you get into high end. E2C, E3C and E4C are crap. Ultimate Ears has that segment dominated with teh SF3Pro and the 5Pros. If you want to talk high end like Shure e530s and UE Triple Fi 10 Pros, then that's where the e530s shine, bu tI'm pretty sure there aren't many audiophiles here, as I've read too many threads about OMG MY SONY FONTOPIAS ROCK WITH W810i and OMG I LOVE MEGABASS.

Anyways, to the perosn talking about e530s, they're a bit bassy. I thought my SF 5 Pros were bassy and not accurate enough (although more people in general probably prefer a fun IEM than an accurate pair), but the SE530s are really heavy in bass. Not too heavy, but they still excel at mids and high ends. I say if you want something decent that's balanced, try the UE Triple Fi 10 Pros.

With all this said, the argument that you dished out $600 for a phone, and that $150 more for a decent set of headphones isn't bad is a terrible argument. This $600 phone has terrible sound quality that can be realized as soon as you get a shure e3c or UE SF5pro. If you have great IEMs already, stick with it, but there's no reason to buy an awesome pair for your N82. I'd rather have one because I use it with my computer or whatever all the time.
 
Thanks guys, I saw the Shure ones at bestbuy too. I'll replace what I have on my list. I mostly intend to use it for watching movies on my phone.
