N82 Pencil Key - Copy/Paste issue Fix/resolution

Hi guys, this is a thread in response to http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1305016 about this problem in n82's copy/paste function - and it has been proved to be a case active only when Garmin XT is installed.

I have found a quick and permanent solution to this problem, heres the procedure and i hope it helps most of you with Garmin installed and not having to resort to uninstall it.:)

Here we go:

1. Go to http://www.smartphoneware.com/taskman-for-s60-3rd-edition-download.php
2.Download and install BEST TASKMAN S60 V3 to your N82.
3. Now Launch the application in phone
4.go to Options> View > Advanced > Processes >
5.You will see a list of running "3rd party" processes,
6.Scroll to find "TSRAutostart.exe" and highlight it > now press options and Terminate process.
7. Voila!


- Now go back to your message box , web browser etc and test the copy paste and you will find it works like how it should.

Also Note: (the process trsautostart is a garmin xt process, everytime you open garmin xt, it activates,, so you have to close it using this methodology with BEST TASK MAN APP each time you use garmin xt on your n82)

=( wow that trsautostart is annoying...it still opened by itself when i havent opened garminxt. today i found myself closing trsautostart 9 times.
 
By the way, I have installed this version of Garmin Mobile XT

GarminMobileXTforSymbianS60_41040.exe

I see that there is a newer version (minor) 41060. Has anyone installed this one, does it also have the bug?
 
^ yes and, unfortunately, yes

EDIT - the only "improvements" i see with this version over 40 are:
- the title screen looks a little nicer (doesnt affect the program at ALL)
- instead of the little arrow as your icon as youre navigating, you can choose from a few different icons (different cars, trucks, rocket ships - stuff like that)

purely cosmetic upgrades - although having the little car as your icon is pretty neat :hehehe:
 
Hi guys !! now i am back with a even better solution to this ;) Now you dont have to worry anymore about how this nasty lil TSRautostart.exe springs up everytime automatically... all you have to do is just kill it and forget about it until you load up Garmin XT again.. follow these simple steps :



Using an File Explorer (like X-plore)
1. Go to E:\ system\Recogs \ CARDRUNNER.MDL
2. Rename or delete this file : CARDRUNNER.MDL
3. Open Best TaskMan and Kill process TSRautostart.exe
4. Enjoy!!!


Note : the process loads up if you run Garmin XT again, so all you have to do when you longer use Garmin is to kill it :) not so hard.. after all peace of mind now that it no more automatically runs....

Wow - you really know your stuff!!! So all I have to do is delete that file once and the process will not respawn anymore - I just have to kill it after using garmin each time???

That is brilliant - I can install Garmin again!! :)

Try this.. Go to E:\\sys \ bin \ CardRunner.dll

remove CardRunner.dll !

and make sure you Kill the process and test out and please type if its ok now.
