n80 vs. n73

ok so im still on the market for a new phone...ive been on these forums a lot recently, and surprisingly enough, nobody has recommended me the n80...i was looking for a smartphone, 3.2 mp and wifi....are there flaws to this phone that i am not aware about? also why does it seem like the n73 is liked more, when it has no wifi?

You are soooooo correct....I have had my n73 off the charger since 7:30 this morning...........did about 30-60 minutes web browsing.........60 minutes of calls.....a couple of text messages.......and just playing around..........and guess what.....unbelievably I haven't lost a single battery bar

Edit----I couldn't believe that this was right, so I rebooted and I had actually lost 2 out of 7 bars......still not bad IMO

I've have both and you really have to decide which is more important to you...having wifi or a better camera. If both are important than wait for the N95, which is right around the corner.

The N73 has a great camera and bigger (size) screen and the N80 has wifi and sharper screen.

I've had both as well and would take the N73 over the N80 for the battery life and the camera. If you want WiFi, I'd probably get the E65 or E70. They may only have a 2mp cam but the N80's cam wasn't worth 3, much less 2, imo.

The N80 has a much better (IMO) d-pad versus the N73's joystick (which is prone to breakage, according to several users here).

The N80 has a high resolution screen, but the N73's screen is larger physically.

Also, IMO the keypad on the N80 is better than the N73's. It's larger and easier to type SMS....but oh how I miss that Camera. It's really nice. The N80 takes good pics in good lighting area, but you have to hold the camera really still....

n73 is better of course IMO

much lighter, it has autofocus, better camera

the only important advantage of n80 over n73 is wifi and the keypad.

Overall n73 wins

Unless you have humungous fingers you will have no problem on the N73. I really don't have to state which phone I think is better because you can see which one I chose to carry. Its kind of a ridiculous arguement IMO. Also, unless you hump the joystick every night before you go to bed then I don't see it breaking on you, even if it does, $5 and you can get another one. Or you can buy 3 N80 batteries to carry around with you...

Well, I don't think it's that ridiculous since some people might prefer a dpad to the joystick, or the design of a slider vs. candy bar, or having wifi vs a better camera. The keypad on the N73 is usable but not as easily as the N80 and the battery will last a day so if you don't mind charging every night than it's not a problem. I have the N80 right now, but do miss the N73. If I had to do it all over again I'd probably buy an N73, but the N80 is quite a nice phone IMO. It's just different strokes for different folks...that's all.
