N80 v5 firmware coming!

I did the same thing, I got notified that there was an update 4.0623.42 except I was going to reconnect via WLAN to ensure good connectivity... and now I keep getting "no updates available."

There is a new firmware out but it's only a minor update and those on V4 firmware can't even update to this V4.0623.0.42 version
Changes/Improvements made MCU SW v4.0623.0.41 to v4.0623.0.42:

-FOTA
* Camera forward compatibility fix for FOTA update
* Sync agent forward compatibility fix for FOTA update
- Messaging
* SMS sending delay
- Display
* Correction for miss-read of ASIC version causing pink display

I just flashed it to V4 from V3 and it took me almost 2 days to get all my programs and contacts the way I want it.
would hate to upgrade it again and start everything over.
what would be the chance that V5.0 does not require a reformat?

Guys, I used to have N80 but sold it because of the horrible battery life. It had the early firmware version don't really remember which one. Did the new firmwares improve the battery life at all?

I was refering to .42 FOTA. It worked over wifi.

I can't even upgrade mine to V4 from V3.0617.0.6 RM-92 Nokia N80 (33.01) with O2UK branding!

The Nokia Software updater tells me there are no updates available!!

where exactly is the FOTA feature on the n80? how do you access/launch it?

if you use the nokia software updater it will always format your phone, just make a backup on the memory card every easy, and easy to restore.

Yeah - I feel for you. I too have an O2 branded N80 and am stuck on V3.0617.0.6

All this talk of V5 is depressing when we can't even get V4 !!

Menu -> Connect -> Dev mgr

Although whether or not your FOTA settings will be configured depends on what branding your firmware is. Mine is on Orange UK and the FOTA isnt setup
