N80 Upgrade problem

Hi,

After upgrading to V4 on my N80, everytime I switch on the phone it says "Installing" and then fails.

Anyone got any ideas what is going on?

I cannot find any SIS or SISX files on the phone.

Paul

i had this problem after my upgrade to v4. i have LOADS of apps installed all on the memcard, and a couple had this error after upgrading

to cure it, look through app manager on the N80 for any items that say "not installed" and press options -> install (or something similar, cant recall exactly off-hand)

if this still doesnt work then re-install them from the original sis file (if you still have it!)

it will re-install back over the original and you shouldnt lose any registration info if its something you have paid for

Thanks for this.

I installed those I wanted and then searched for the "funny" numbered sis files and found folders and sis's in the E:\private folder. I removed them from there and all is now ok.

Now all I need to do is work out if my Backup to PC Suite saved my notes and what the new Media Player option does when you plug in the USB cable

Thanks All

Paul

I still have that problem and :
1- I can't format the memory card.
2- Remove any of those funny programs ( it is not allowed)
3- The card reader I have doesn't support the N80 card ( can't figure out why nokia didn't include a card adaptor like previous phones)
So I am *^^*#@..you know

Reinstalling all the software you had previously installed before upgrading the firmware fixes it.

If you don't want that program anymore. Just install it, then uninstall it ...

That's how I dealt with the problem on my N80
