N80 update to N80 IE now supported by Software Update...

^did u lose all ur contacts details? when i did it manually a few months back i was unable to restore anything from the backups so its not tempting me to upgrade just yet
 
this is probably a dead horse that i am beating but could someone sum up the benefits to use the IE firmware aside from the wireless thingie on the standby?
 
I have updated to IE now using nss and nsu. Only thing i noticed which was not posted anywhere was when i tried to update it said my phone already has the latest firmware, but gives the option to re-install (which i selected) and it worked fine!
 
coolad...i tried using NSS and NSU to update mine last night. when I tried to update it though I ended up with:

Any idea what I did wrong? What product code did you use? Also, can you explain how to update it using NSS, i don't know how to verify that the code was infact changed.

I did the suggestion of re-installing from NSU but no luck I guess. My product code never changed, I see the problem. Can I change the code in NSS and then update using the Device Manager? I hate having to uninstall all that crap on my computer.
 
you're right..i just realized i did get the n80ie firmware. i didn't realize it since all the new functions have to be downloaded but i've got the wifi wizard and all the other programs now. not much of a difference but the phone definitely works better!
