N80 Slider: How Fragile is it?

Hi I have a Nokia N80 and earlier on when I picked up to answer a call, I couldn't hear anything through the speaker unless I wiggled the screen part of the phone! Even then it was intermittent!!

Now it seems to be ok, and I cannot replicate the fault by wiggling the phone, so I am thinking it may have just been a one of, or moisture or something?

My question is, how fragile is the slider, if it has started doing this, after a few months, is it going to get really bad!

It is still under warranty so I suppose I could get it repaired, however this easier said than done since I work away from home!

Could it be your flex cable? I don't know if it has anything to do with the speaker though. I saw a guy on here and his went bad.
