N80 Screen Problem

ive had this phone for about 1.5 years and nothing was wrong.. i sold it to my friend, she had the phone for about 2 weeks, and now she says the phone is not working and that the screen goes blank white..

i told her to let me try and fix it..

i got the phone and it does to blank after powering on, the phone still functions recieve call is about all cause you cant see what your doing.. i took the phone home and look on here to see if i can figure out the problem.. i done a master reset using the codes, the phone seems fine after the reset or so it seems.. after X amount of time, it goes blank again, then the screen come back alive and its working

does this phone have screen saver or something.. or is the slider broken??

if anyone here knows, plz let me know asap..

Sounds like a hardware failure. It could be the screen itself or the ribbon cable connecting the screen to the main board. You or your friend could send it to Nokia for repair unless you are technically savvy and able to fix it yourself.
 
ok thanx for the responses.. i dont have to send it back to nokia to get it fixed, any authorized retail places should beable to, right

or will be covered by nokia?
 
I haven't checked the warranty terms, but I doubt Nokia would cover a phone purchased 1.5 years ago. Good luck finding a repair shop. They are rare in the U.S., but maybe not in Canada.
