N80 RealPlayer streaming issues

I can't seem to stream any real media to my N80. I have been using the test streams at Orb to try to figure out what is going on.

Well, I was thinking it was my T-mobile network, but now that I tried it with wifi, I see that I can't stream real audio on any connection.

This leads me to believe I need to configure my N80 somehow to make this work.

Any tips, folks?

Sorry, I was unclear. I posted that too late at night. :-)

OK, I have been trying to test with the following URL (from test.orb.com), which works fine on my PC.

http://test.orb.com/streamtest/streamfiles/ram/audio_low.ram

(It has just one stream in it rtsp://test.orb.com:1554/audio/Azul_low.rm)

When I try to connect on the N80, Real Player asks permission ("Connection to server needed. Connect?")

I say "Yes"

Real Player says "Connecting"

Then it seems to have connected, and at the top it displays the title and duration of the stream. (In this case, "Azul" and 4:42" respectively.) This info isn't in the .ram file, so I can only assume there was communication with the server.

Now the "Loading" progress bar is display, but stays empty.

After about a minute, it beeps, and shows: "Unable to connect to server. Server time out."

This has happened with both my T-Mobile data plan and wifi connection.

I seem to have the lastest firmware on the N80, v4.0623.0.41.

Any ideas?

Thanks for listening!

Xargs, I don't think it matters, really. And I have been connecting through the browser too, though I have been using the saved clip launched directly from RP too.

Lordtrader, well, I would be surprised if RealPlayer couldn't play RealMedia files, and I am able to play a .rm file locally on the phone. Can you try http://test.orb.com and tell me if it works for you?

There aren't a whole lot of settings in RealPlayer, mostly bandwidth constraints, and port limitations. Has anyone out there also had this problem and messed with these to make it work?

the only thing i had to mess with to get real player to stream was to set the network in real player options and then limit the uprate in Orb to 34 (based on test.orb.com) in order to work with in the bandwidth constraints. but i'm using the real player stream without issue
