N80 Popping noise?

I get this annoying popping noise while listening to music on the original Nokia headset that came with the phone. Whenever the track changes You can hear it...(KRkk) also theres a lot of static browsing through the menu....


now this just ticks me off cause I don't believe I've ever heard it before....


this is while I was in an extremely quiet environment.

If I buy a nice pair of earphones, and use it with the Nokia headphone adapter, Will I still hear the static and popping?
 
I have the n80 and have experienced the popping, but the new headphones idea is a good one. The phone produces an amazing sound with a good set of headphones. I bouth some sony's for about 60 and I am loving them.
