N80 Memory Card Backup issue...Please quickly help!

So I recently purchased a 2gb SD card from NewEgg.com to replace my 512'r that came with the sweet RAMless N80 and so here is my problem: I tried to copy the memory card because I installed all applications that I could to the SD card, but the Icons aren't showing up when I put the card in.

So easy recap... I backed up my 512, restored to the 2GB, and when I go to the menu's...no icons, but when I try to install the same apps as I had before, it pulls up your everyday overwrite type question e.g. " Care to install over version 1.0.19, you have version 1.0.21?"

So are the apps installed on the new card, or is it a phone memory trick? And secondly, how can I get my icons and usage of these apps back...must I reinstall?

Any help is greatly appreciated guys, as always HoFo for life!
 
I had the same situation as you last time (upgrading from 512->2GB). I didn't do the backup & restore thing though...IIRC, what I did last time:

- format the 2GB first on the phone
- put the phone on offline mode
- use memory card reader, connect 512 to my pc
- make sure hidden files are showing on windows explorer
- select all, copy everything to the 2GB
- when it's done, I shutdown the phone...turn it back on and everything's back to normal for me.
