N80 Baterry!!

I just purchased a N80 with the latest firmware but the batttry life is crap... I day and its done only on SMs and calls

CAn someone tell him where i can get a either a extra battery or a better battery

My N80 battery lasted 2 days too if I wanted it to. Never usually had to try though, I was at home everyday to charge the thing.

seriously, i think you guys in Europe get better battery times on 900/1800 maybe cause the phone doesn't have to work as hard to keep signal?

That can't be. That's why we switch to GSM only. Unless it's harder to use 850/1900 on the processor than using 900/1800, it just can't be.

no what i mean is a phone works less when signal is better.. the europe network in general seems tighter and better (they have rf everywhere it seems) so lwith less deadspots and more coverage phone doesn't work as hard...

people talk about phones with low signal killing the battery faster...\

I think that's true. I've seen so many people on this forum complain how they lose reception when they go into certain buildings, or when they are on a freeway somewhere. That just doesn't really happen, in the UK at least. I mean, I was on holiday this summer to a remote part of Scotland, and standing on top of a mountain with no civilization for miles around, my phone still had full signal. In think because the US is such a huge country, coverage is much more patchy, so your phone has to try harder to cling onto what signal it can.

I don't think that can be either. In a typical day, I never dropped more than a bar of signal using the N80 anywhere I went and I still could barely get through a whole day with moderate use. I realize that doesn't accurately measure my reception, but that should still be pretty good, right? 7/7 bars with minor exceptions all day?
