I think that's true. I've seen so many people on this forum complain how they lose reception when they go into certain buildings, or when they are on a freeway somewhere. That just doesn't really happen, in the UK at least. I mean, I was on holiday this summer to a remote part of Scotland, and standing on top of a mountain with no civilization for miles around, my phone still had full signal. In think because the US is such a huge country, coverage is much more patchy, so your phone has to try harder to cling onto what signal it can.
