N8 Screen Protection - Ultra Clear or Anti Glare?

Actually being proactive about protection on this phone. Gorilla screen or not, I gotta give this screen the biggest chance it's got :)

Found Ricky Cadden's review on the N8 and he seemed pretty happy with outside screen performance.

So I'm debating, do I go with ultra clear or anti glare? Ultra clear should make glare any worse that it is right?

My N97mini was so horrible in sunlight, appalling! Maybe it was the clarivue ultra clear but I only just thought of that now.

So, Ultra Clear or Anti Glare?
 
Putting protective screens on gorilla glass is a waste of money and only just makes the screen uglier and less responsive. You could literally chuck this phone in your pockets with keys and the screen will be untouched..
 
If you're okay with the slightly fuzzy look it brings to the screen, go with an antiglare protector. Love that it makes screen covering smudges minimal, but especially on phones with OLED screens it seems to help a bit (not making it brighter, just helping the visibility by reducing glare). I'm not sure if the visibility on the N8 is as poor in sunlight as the nexus one but it has definitely helped.
 
... and they scratch up fast! I already have scratches right in the middle, yet the paint on my phone is not yet scratched, go figure.....

and the anti glare makes it more noticeable.. the ultra clear on my n97mini seemed more resilient and for sure the scratches are no where near as noticeable.

I do like not seeing finger smudges all over the face of my phone though, and I do like the swoosh sound/feeling but that's about it...
 
I have had the ultra clear on for a couple of months now and no scratches. I do have alot of smudges and fingerprints though (constantly cleaning the screen off with a cloth), but I have come to accept this as the way of life with a touch screen smartphone.
 
I have the Brando screen protector - this time I have ultra clear on N8. My E71 had the Anti Glare.

I'd choose the Anti Glare - the Ultra Clear shows finger marks too much.
 
yea, I wasn't even going to bother with one as I didn't at the beginning with my N97mini until I noticed tiny scuffs on that screen too. I do like not having a smudgy looking screen and I like the feel of the anti glare though.

It's a 3.6 meg file full res. I wanted it to be clear but I didn't want the lighting to make it look super bad. While the picture does make the bigger scratches super visible, it tends to generally look like other smaller scratches (though not as faint) that you will see in the picture.
