No and you've probably got a point about not knowing until using it, but with a battery of 700mhz, you can probably take an educated guess and say that it's not going to be a long lasting battery. I did play with it long enough to know that the keypad was crap IMO.

Look at their other slim offerings....or compacts I should say...8800/8801..abysmal battery life! 5500 E50 in some respects as it uses the same battery the 6230 did with more apps sucking more power...especially if your using BBC. It's safe to say that Nokia doesnt mind making it's consumers sacrifice when it comes to form factor. Hell, the N95 isnt exactly small but they've loaded it with so many features that the battery compartment was the place they had to skimp on.
