N75 on at&t: Txt msg comes after checking my voicemail

i have a nokia n75 w/ att and whenever i dial my voice mail after i end call i get a text msg, every time. any idea of how to stop this i called att and they said its the nokia software. any help is appreciated thanks
 
1. Did you get this handset brand new from AT&T?
2. Have you recently installed any apps or games?
3. Have you recently made any changes to your AT&T service?
4. Is the handset locked/unlocked, branded/unbranded?
 
yes i just bought from att/go phone and used my original sim and now im getting this issue. the phone is all original just as att sent to me, i have media net unlimited. also had an iphone prior to this phone, they told me its nokia's software??????????
 
Aha, it's the iPhone. You need to have AT&T check that the visual voicemail feature has been completely removed from your account.

The visual voicemail that the iPhone uses is different from the voicemail system that other phones use (obviously), and causes stuff like that with other phones. Call AT&T back and let them know that you no longer have the iPhone and need your account updated.
