n73ME changing colours? questions...

hey guys, i just dont quite get it, as far as i know, the ME edition for n73 is in black. So how come some people have it in the usual n73 colours (white/purple, mocha...) are they lying stating it is ME version or they actually change the black case of the ME version. I heard they are doing "flash" what is that and what is the side effect on that...
 
ME is black, but you can flash the regular n73's (silver/purple, white/brown, white/red) to have ME firmware.
no side effects if you do it correctly, but if you dont, you could potentially brick your phone.

Step by step for the Music Edition. I had it on mine and honestly didn't use the music player that much so I'm back to plain jane vanilla.
