n73 User Lock!?!

Just bought an n73 off ebay and it has a user lock and the person i bought it from cant remember it!! How can i find this out or get rid of it?

Do a product code change and then update via nsu and see if that helps, otherwise you are sending it off... as far as I know.

Yeah the thing is i have 56k internet.......i know flashing motorolas removes the user code, i could take it to my nokia service centre but im not sure how much they would charge me.

Iv tried the system reset thing too and that didnt work

No it didnt say anything about it and he aparently doesnt remember the code as he hasnt used it in a while

Um, if you enter it wrong enough times, i think it will ask you for the PUK code. To find out this code, you will have to be an authorized user for your cell phone account. Call your provider and tell them you need the PUK code. They will give it to you and after you enter that in, it SHOULD reset everything. Whatever you do, DO NOT ENTER IN THE PUK CODE WRONG!!!! If you do it more than 3 times it will kill your sim.

I thought PUK codes were for sim pin numbers only?

hmm..now that you mention it...it is!...i guess it wouldn't work then...but im not sure.
