N73 over-heating on standby :(

Hi everyone;
I just noticed my N73 getting VERY hot while being carried in a case. Took the phone out (on standby) and the screen and batter were extremely warm. Waiting for the phone to cool down before turning it on again.

Anyone else experience this???

Thanks,

Al

I experienced that once when the phone froze while saving a video. Took a video, closed the lens cover and put it in my pocket. I felt it getting warmer and warmer, finally took it out and realized it was frozen, restarted the phone and it was fine.

This happenened to me a few time on my N93. It seems sometimes apps get stuck and it keeps eating processing cycles and draining the battery.
I found that a restart fixes this, but sometimes the app is reaally messed up that a hard reset might help you (but do remember to back up)

Also do you have the latest firmware?

Thanks for the replies. As far as I remember, nothing was "running" other than the active standby. So far, after letting the phone cool down, everything seems OK, keeping my fingers crossed.

Al

PS:
Blue13X : running V3.0638.0.0.1

I've seen it once with my E61. Of a sudden the phone was hot, and the battery ran out. Its been a month since then and everything seem to be fine.

Thanks.
Unfortunately I had it in a belt case, and didn't notice it until I took it out to send a SMS. Don't know how long it was in that state, probably an hour or more, and the screen was lit and HOT as H*LL, as was the battery. After it cooled down, I turned it back on and it has been working fine (fingers crossed).

Wonder how much "phone life(span)" I've lost as a result of this 'burn'?
