N73 on NokiaUSA.com for 429.99!!!!!!

I checked the prices of the n73 yesterday (I'm located in Toronto, Canada). You can pick up the n73 for $540.00 CAD flat at Pacific Mall (yea, I hate that place, but great cell prices and availability), and the n73 ME for $580.00 CAD. Just a heads up!
 
AND FREE SHIPPING! That's pretty much the best place to get a vanilla N73.

Man....of course this happens a day after my N73ME comes in. I hate buyers remorse.
 
Bastards! I paid $499 at the Nokia store in Chicago and now it's only $429 direct from Nokia? Well, either the Chicago store will credit me the difference or I'm returning it and ordering from Nokia's website. Luckily the Chicago store lets you return the phone up to a full 30 days after purchase. Now, I wonder if the N73's from Nokia USA are made in Finland?
 
Someone said in a previous topic that it was a different RM-XX number and I assumed it had no 3G but still had the front camera. This one apparently does . . . so what is the difference between the international version and the US version then?
 
I went to the Nokia store in Chicago today, so I have a couple of goodies to share from some polite conversations I had with the reps.

All of the prices mentioned in this thread are the same prices at the store, and coincidentally, I looked at the two of those specifically because I noticed the prices were so much lower than they were.

Unfortunately, Nokia will give a refund for the phone's current price for which they are selling it now, not the price it was originally purchased. This was covered in another thread, and it kinda sucks.

The N73 they have there is silver/plum and it has a bit more detail to it than my older one did. The silver keypad has a chrome joystick instead of the greyish one that was originally launched, though the display version I played with still had a bit of give on its joystick. The rep said they have made improvements to it since the original batch, but ultimately it's still pretty bad.

I don't know if the N73's they carry have a different RM number. I didn't even think to check.

After speculating about a spring-assisted slide from some of the older N95 videos, I can confirm from talking to the reps that the phone is indeed spring-ASSISTED. It doesn't snap open like a Samsung, but it is designed to make sure the device slides smoothly and doesn't go too far in either direction.

Though they couldn't give me a definite answer, they're really hoping that they'll be getting it this month. It sounded like that was the plan, though they can't say that since it's still subject to change. The estimated price we talked about was $799, but they don't really know that for sure either. I'm taking both pieces with a grain of salt. It took them forever just to get an N73, so I wouldn't expect to see a wall for the N95 until 6 months after it comes out or so.
 
Thanks for mentioning that. After reading the review from my-symbian, I was a bit confused how he could report it was spring assisted and Angel has denied it is. I wonder if he was confusing "assisted" with "loaded".....and 6 months isnt bad to have the N95 sold on our shores IMO.
 
This is such good news that Nokia has increased its portfolio once again (although with a phone that has been out for a while). For 429.99, that is a pretty decent deal IMO, although I would have liked to see it at 399.99.

I wanted to see what comes in the box, and it looks like they aren't shipping it with a memory card or any of the other crap that comes from the foreign models. That is the best thing about getting an imported phone...all of the little goodies they give you with it (pouch, cleaning cloth, wrist strap, etc).
 
Whether your from States or Canada, i've seen some N73 on HOFO B/S/T BNIB or Like new for much cheaper. Although, i still prefer buying my phones through store or order through website
