I think the more important question is HOW do you put songs on your phone?

Drag and drop through the regular file system? Nokia Music Manager? Winamp? iTunes? Other?

Music Manager with compression for me. Just a little under 100 songs so far, using about 200-300MB on a 1GB card.

I really had no intentions of using the phone as a music player but after playing with it, I can't wait to load it up for a road/plane trip.

Mass Storage Mode. Then any music player can sync songs on it.

I've been using mine more for podcasts than music lately.

i used drag-n-drop with a card reader. had over 250 songs at 112kbps and still had plenty of room for a movie or 2 and taking plenty of pics/vids with the cam.

i got about 400+ songs on my 2gb mini sd card on my N73 ME, all in 128kbps with an average of 5mb per song so 20 songs per 100 mb

According to Sandisk, a 2GB card can hold approximately 480 MP3 files at the length of 4 minutes compressed at 128kbs. So your right......his card is 85-90% full just of music.

I'm not an N73ME user but I though I'd just put my 2 cents in.

I have around 150 songs on my 1GB card, compressed and transfered thru Nokia Music Manager.

I find the quality acceptable at 64kbps AAC and the manager makes it easy to create playlists.

The only downside is I have to connect using cable and transfer speeds are painfully slow.

I never had this option on the standard firmware but it's on the ME. Options>Music library details.

Actually i took out 200 songs on my 2gb card since i have TomTom 6 (6.10 version) installed and the map of U.S and Canada which is around 940 mb so i only have 200+ songs now

something weird just happen just now, i changed the album title on all the songs that i made in winamp playlists then i open up them up in my phone up , they haven't been changed, why, they all mixed up, now i have change each song for the album title and thats ganna take ages
