N73 Memory Card Issues

Somebody removed my memory card from my phone without dis-enabling it first, this pretty much killed the card and i think killed something in the phone.

Now Ive put another card in im finding that i cant use items on the card for ringtones and occasionally taking photos wont save to the card....any ideas on how to fix?
 
Store the information from the cards onto your PC, format the cards in the phone if you can (on your PC otherwise) and then see if the N73 will read it.
 
thanks mate, have tried with partial success, my camera now saves photos to the new card but still wont recognise ring tones from it....the old card, i think is dead!
 
The card had the ringtone files and themes on it when it was ejected, files weren't being transferred or anything like that. So I suppose you'd say it was in use, in a dormant state...?

I've noticed now that If i copy the mp3 from the card to the phone memory it will appear in the list of useable ringtones...but on the flipside, im saving photos to the card and they appear in the gallery no worries....

this is weird
