and now im faced with a problem...

i dont usually delete my inbox (i've got it high as much as 310) : )
then the problems comes...

i just can't send any SMS... whenever i tried, tit would just say..., memory full.., try closing some applications...

i tried restarting the phone numerous times but to no avail...

i also tried bringing up the APP Manager during start-up and and found a few background programs running such as autokelyock and blinkingled... (i've installed and removed handykeylock 1.1)...

please help me... i just don't wanna *reformat* my phone... actually i've done it already... 've backed-up my phone, and reformatted it and make it work... when i tried to restore the back-up..., the same thing happens agen... i just can't send SMS....

any good suggestions...?

and maybe you can give me some must-have applications and their corresponding *free download* links....

thanks in advance and more power...

Try closing the applications you have running in the background when you try to send it and see if it helps. It sounds like you installed an application that's eating a lot of memory in the background on your phone and the restore you used after a hard reset is restoring the problem with it.

: jonnybruha,

i've already done that... the two applications i've mentioned (blinkingled and autolock), runs and ends during start-up... i mean, when you start the phone, right after the handshake, bring up the APP manager... and found these 2 programs running then after a while, i't's gone... and i've also seen those 2 programs running even *after* the reset...

: leoking3,

waahhh.... no other way...? :_( mm..., can't i just back up everything except installed applications...?

If that's the only solution, then both of you must be installing something you're not supposed to on your phones that's giving it a hard time with memory issues. I've never had a problem while just trying to send a text message.

When you start reinstalling your apps after the reset, I'd be more careful about what you put on your phone.

I agree that it sounds like an issue with your programs eating the memory. Like you, I'm lazy about deleting the messages in my inbox. I've had well over 2,000 on many occasions before I would clear my inbox and I never had issues with sending.

MAn what kind of comment is this? What's that about the apps on the phone?? IF I need an app , or an app becomes available for my phone, why shouldnt I try it? Just because I should think that it MIGHT do harm to my handset? The man with the problem here didnt really need to read this useless comment.

What else would cause the problem on his phone? Where's your suggestion? No one said not to try new applications. I'm suggesting watching out for suspicious apps that might cause problems like this, since I don't install suspicious apps and coincidentally, I don't have problems sending SMS.

Go back to dotsis.

Generally, I find that any app tainted by the hands of the software pirates at dotsis is a pretty good red flag that it's going to cause something to stop working. I should pass your advice on to everyone that has a minor problem, since, you're absolutely right, it does work. It won't be a problem at all to reformat my phone every time something comes up. Maybe I should do that with PC errors too?

Well we do that with our damned pc's from time to time dont we? So maybe our guy, while we are arguing , already formatted his phone and now he;s happy again.

guys...

i've done some tests and here's what i've found...

i've backed up my phone...
installed TASKY, compressed the memory and got 13902 free...
can't send text...
reformatted my phone...
installed TASKY, compressed the memory and got 17504 free...
can send text...
reformatted my phone...
restored my back-up but removed search and yahoo update (w/c came along when i've got my phone)...
installed TASKY, compressed the memory and got 18828 free...
and still can't send...

what else could be the problem...?

MAn , believe me , the only solution is to erase everything and start from scratch. U dont have any other solution. The problem almost always resides in the phone memory, so ....backup your messages on the PC and then..... fu..k it! Format ans reinstall everything. A bad app messed up your phone.
