N73 ME to N73 Regular?

I started out with my regular old mocha/white N73, and did the firmware update to ME when it came out. However, I'm seriously considering going back.

The problem is memory. I feel like my phone runs out of memory ALOT easier with the ME firmware than it did with vanilla. Even with Handy Taskman (which, fyi, will not auto-start on ME after a reboot, like it did with the regular) closing out the Music App, I feel like there's something in there like a memory leak, cause after a fresh reboot and kill the music app, I'll have 16.something MB of RAM leftover. However, after using it the whole day or a few days, I'm usually down to 10MB with nothing running. Somewhere along the line I'm losing ~6MB of RAM. A power-cycle usually brings it back, but it's still a pain, and I don't really use the music player app as much as I'd like to.

However, I know you're not supposed to be able to downgrade firmware, but i didn't know if anyone's tried it with the NSS product code trick? I depend on the phone, so I'm not really sure if it's worth risking the brick.

You cant downgrade it but you can upgrade to IE which has the same features as ME but the mutitask key can have shortcuts now too and isnt just for the music player.

Also the ME version installs a Moby song which is about 4 megs. Erasing that may help

i bought the actual N73ME and am using Handy Taskman currently and it definitely starts after a reboot. i'm using Handy Taskman version 1.01.

I may give the internet version a go, though I remember being put off it cause the original screenshots showed some jacked up asian stuff on there, which I wasn't a fan of.

I have Handy Taskman 1.0 running on N73 ME 3.0638.0.0.30 and I have to manually start Handy Taskman everytime I reboot.

So no one else with the ME firmware is having troubles with a memory leak? I'm dead serious, I'll start from fresh with 16MB and as I open and close apps, I'll end up with 10MB real quick, with nothing else running. If it was 1-2MB, it wouldn't be a big deal, that's a third of my RAM just dissappearing.

Well apparently there's a new version on NSU, I'll have to check it out tonite.

No changelog yet, though.

What makes the me edition or the ie edition so special, ive updated to both and really dont see much of a difference aside from the music player, but it lost one feature that i loved with the old music player, would tell me what song was comming on next and with the new me edition or ie edition it dont, also the voice of the man oon the voice tags is a bit louder with then new me and ie edition but other than that, can someone enlighten me.
