Hi everyone,

I bought an n73 awhile back and it made this very annoying loud clicking/sharp noise every minute while I was talking on the phone. I thought it was a defective phone, but I spoke with a few other Hofoers and they had the same problem. I wanted to know if this problem has been resolved with the latest firmware. I want to get the n73 ME, but don't want to dish out all that money only to hear that annoying clicking/sharp noise again. It's hard to explain the sound as I've never heard of that sound before in all the other phones I have owned.

Thank you.

Glad to hear I'm not nuts. And very happy to hear Nokia fixed the problem! I'm looking forward to getting the n73 ME!!!
I was debating between that or the k790a. But now that Rogers carries the k790a, more people will have that phone. But not too many will have the n73. Plus, the n73 is one loud phone, which I want.

The key is to ensure that whatever is purchased has the latest firmware, or that it has a model code that NSU will recognize and update.

Otherwise, it will be necessary to change the model code--or update the firmware manually.

Sorry if this question sound stupid. What is a model code?
From my many hours of reading up on the latest info. on the n73 and the n73 ME, is the latest firmware 3.0637.0.0.14? I might've seen a 3.086 or something like that.

Thanks.
