N73 Calling Issues?

Hey guys, i don't why but when i call someone on my phone , ive got a strange error with recption , when i call them they can't hear me but i can hear them, then i roboot the phone call again its fine, this has happen 2 times, do you roboot the phone once a day or what ?, has this happen to anyone
 
Never had that problem with my N73, but it's a standard N73 (not with IE or ME specific firmware). Haven't seen that issue posted before either.

Does this happen with the HS-23 attached (or whatever headset came with your N73 ME)?

What about if you are using a Bluetooth headset?

This would help isolate it if the problem is phone mic related...

I had that same issue with the original FW not ME. It only happened for a couple of days until I did a hard reset and the problem went away. Might be time to cleanse your phone and see if that doesnt do the trick.....and yes, I think it's smart to power cycle s60's one or twice a day seeing that they are "computers" for the most part. I've always felt like they run a bit smoother when this is done. My E61 would be sluggish if I hadnt rebooted after a couple of days but of course it could have just been in my head..
 
never happened to me before. i got an original n73 updated through nsu. calls have always been clear and no reception problems here
 
No, Nothing was connected to the phone when this error happen and i don't have any bluetooth at all, i updated to to music edition lately i dunno if thats causing problems but everything on the phone seems fine but that this calling thing is annoying, its not a recption issue either, i dunno what it is.
 
If you have the HS-23 headset, you could see if the issue happens with it....

If you don't, see if video recording has a problem using the mic.

Did you load it up with apps/games/other stuff? Maybe look into how much 'phone' memory is eaten up?

SWAG'ing at this point.
 
i have similar issue on low signal ( 2 bars, not really low-low) i can hear well, but the other party can loose me for 3-5 seconds and everuthing goes back to normal. during 20 min call it can happen 2-3 times. regular FW ( the latest)
 
I have the same issue, although it's very sporadic. Sometimes the other side just can't hear me when I'm on speaker and a switch to the headset works fine, but then sometimes it doesn't matter. It usually happens to me one every few days and I have the latest firmware.
 
I had that issue on my old N73. It seems that if I activated the speaker phone a number of times it would go into a funk and people couldn't here me but I could here them. Rebooting it always solved this problem. My current official US Nokia N73 has never done this.
