i have been havin this problem with earlier FW too n with latest FW its still there!
the problem occurs when i am on a call and 2nd call comes in, if i recieve that n after finishing that call if i click "swap", it just disconnects the 1st call! i havent tried swapping while both the calls are active though!
is anybody else having this problem?

I think this is a universal s60 bug. If you try to "swap" back to the original caller as the 2nd caller hangs up, there is some sort of race condition that will often disconnect you from the original caller as well. It works fine if you wait until the phone fully understands that the 2nd caller has hung up and then you resume it. Swapping between two active calls also works fine.

(at least this is all true on my E70)

I've made some tests today, and my E50 doesn't behave the way you guys describe. It's working perfectly, the switch button switches the callers, I've also tried to make a conference with the two callers I had and it was working, I've also broken the conference and I still could switch between the callers. This might be a problem not with the phone but with the network provider. As no one here in Poland (at least the people I know) have complained about this feature doesn't work.

There may be some tricky timing involved as well. To reproduce it (assuming it is reproducible), you would have to hit "swap" right as the 2nd caller hangs up.

But yea, it could be carrier related or region specific etc. I'm on Tmobile USA w/ an APAC E70.

yaa as "JonInTheHouse" said, its timing related, meaning i usually click swap as the second caller hangs up, i guess thats the reason i have faced the problems! i ll try swapping when both the callers are active!

You're right, I have the Euro version and the same thing happens, when the active caller ends and I hit the swap key the otherone is disconnected

I've done some tests and this is what you have to do:

when the active caller disconnects then you have to wait until the swap button turns into ACTIVATE (or something, it's hard to translate this from Polish ) )
then it's working perfectly, you get your unactive call on the phone.

Well, this is one more thing that Nokia forgot to test damn Nokia, starting to hate them already.
