N Series Comparison

Hi!

would you give me some advice? i wanted to buy a Nseries phone. but i need some advice on how to choose.

at the moment, i chose N80.

here are the conditions:

-The user is a power user
-Must Have Wifi
-Performance of the phone should be ok (since the user is a power user, expect many apps open at the same time)
-Upgradable memory
-Not too big, not too small
-Doesnt care if it is slider, candybar, flip or whatever.
-reasonable price.

thanks!

If your opting for the N80 then you might as well splurge and get the N95. It improves upon everything and is nearly the same size. Actually a bit slimmer with a monster screen!

n91 (black) has wifi too..

anyway.. i assume the phone is unlocked. and i assume our provider here in the philippines supports all of the main features.

hmm..

i wont go for N95 because it costs too much unlike N80 or any lower phones, it only costs less than $500(still a student). how bout N80 and E65? what do you think? i heared E65 has wifi too.. but is it powerful like N80?

btw, does Music Edition phones has some kind of Bass Booster like in Sony Ericsson's "Mega Bass"? or maybe an equalizer? and dows the black N80 considered as a Music Edition phone?

yeah.. N91 is great but i dont like the keypad.. too small for my big hands.. =)
hmm.. i think i may go to N80.

but does the N80 has EQ or bass booster? i wanted that feature..

or maybe you can recommend a software for N80 that has those things.. an mp3 player with EQ and Bass Booster maybe?

N80 is a good phone because it has very mature firmware. The only drawback is the slightly bulky nature of the phone and the somewhat loose sliding mechanism. However, that's just a personal oppinion. I prefer the Nokia E60.

yeah, my grandmother has very mature not-so-firmware and is a bit bulky too boot but I'm still picking the younger sexier one! Not so sure about the last comment as that's just to disturbing to think of.

i thought so.. hahah!! mabuhay!

wait.. my question about the EQ and Bass Booster hasn't been answered.

if it has then i'll go to N80.. but if not, maybe i'll go to S.E.

Watcha think?

MABUHAY!!!

and welcome to hofo, you should reconsider the N91 8GB... music quality of this one really ROCKS!!! the keys are a bit small, but you can get used to it...

The N80 has an equalizer and one of the presets is called "Bass Booster".

However, I don't recommend the N80 because the camera produces very shaky stills unless you have the bear suit and can turn into a statue when you take the picture.

Battery life also still seems to be really bad on the N80 though it's gotten better over time.

The E65 would be a better option, but you won't have the equalizer or bass booster on it and the camera isn't very good either.

If you can wait for the prices to settle, get the N95. If not, go for the N80. Battery life will be a problem, but buy one of those portable chargers in Greenhills which run on an AA battery. Totally happy with mine.

Really don't recommend any non-Symbian phones if you're a techie. And even if I did, I wouldn't recommend SE!

N9x series costs too much for me.. maybe in the latter part. when i get a job, maybe i'll get a N99.. hehehe

and N93i has this kind of "sharp" edges. the one i'm talking about is the edge located in the left and right side of the keypad.

-------------
yeah.. i saw here in hofo the battery life of N80 and N95 is really bad. but i'm used to that.. if the phone lasts for at least a day, then its OK.

i'm a power user so i'm not expecting the battery will lasts 2 1/2-4 days. before when i had a Nokia 3650, i used to install games, apps and music player and the battery only lasts a day because of the constant playing of mp3 player.

but hey.. the battery of my Nokia 3100 lasts 6 days.. hahaha!!
