Mytouch3g slide check for update

Does anyone here know how to check for system update on the MyTouch3g Slide? I looked through the settings and cant seem to find it. I don't know maybe I missed something, but I don't see it. I remember on the g1 all I had to do was go to settings>about phone and there was an option to check for a system update.

I know the OTA hasn't hit yet but yeah...

any help will be appreciated!!

T Mobile seems to have taken it out, not there anymore.

From my experience with the G1, it didn't work anyways. Whenever there was an update available, I would receive a message asking if I wanted to update it now.
Any other time that I tried checking - even when I knew one was being pushed, it would say the phone was up to date.

It would only work if you told the official update not now, then you could get it later.
