MyTouch Slide Brain Transplant

Hey, everybody. Newbie here, and recent Blackberry convert.

I recently picked up a MyTouch Slide from T-Mobile as I'd finally tired of my Blackberry Curve. I love this phone. However, it's defective: one of my screen hinges is bad, and T-Mo has sent me a replacement unit.

Still, always being mobile and also a geek of somewhat epic proportions, I've already got a lot installed on this phone and have it just the way I want it. I'm looking for a way to copy my apps and settings over to the new phone in the samme way that the Blackberry backup function created an image that you could copy over onto the new device.

Anyone know the smoothest way to transplant my MyTouch's brain?

Thanks in advance.

hm... there are a few backup apps. mybackup pro is an option. but i'm pretty sure it requires root.. i'm not sure if it's possible without rooting.

Mybackup pro does not require root, it is great for backing up everything to transfer to a new phone, I have it and used it flawlessly a few times. I went from G1 to another G1 then to my Slide, perfect each time. 4.99 though if you do not like paying for apps. You can backup all apps and data.

I've used MyBackup as well. It has been a while but has MyBackup solved the issue yet where if you restore/install an app from a backup that the market never checked for an update for it?
