MyFaves Free add-on for TMO customers

Thats right...free!

MyFaves is available to current TMO customers as a FREE add on to your existing plan. As most of you know, MyFaves allows you to designate up to 5 lines (any carrier, landlines or mobile) that you can make unlimited calls to (and from) for free.

I am not sure how long you need to have been with TMO to qualify for this, and they do require a 2 year contract extension from the date you sign up (this does not affect your phone upgrades). I read some posts on other forums that reported issues with plans qualifying, however I added this to an older plan that they no longer offer with no problems at all. (and it would have cost me up to $30 a month to get new myfaves plan with similar minutes)

Just call 611 from your TMO device, and you will need to speak to the retention department to have this added. (note I have seen reports that this is aka "PrefferedFaves"). Reports are this is a limited time promotion (end date unknown).

It's a nice offer to regular customers. To bad my T-mo account(s) have been reduced to 1 pre-paid account. I'm just a deadbeat to T-mo now - they can't depend on any income from me unless I use it...and I don't much.

Have a BB plan, they said it I would need to change my plan to a My Favs type plan, add data, text and bb services, so it would actually cost me more in the end. I guess I've had this plan for so long, they don't offer it anymore.

Yeah, Bob. In my experience you can usually keep a carrier's plan forever whether they currently offer it or not.

I had a "sweetheart" deal with Alltel which included having my wife added to my plan for only $10/month before I made the mistake of leaving and trying another couple of carriers. By the time I realize that my best coverage in my area was Alltel I had to pay big bucks to get back to where I was with the same plan/usage. (Lesson learned!)

its a great tool, unfortunately for some customers its a 0$ charge to add myfaves which is actually less than the myfaves family plans. some customers seem to get them for free, it really depends on who you can talk to. i havent been able to get it for free for anyone who comes to my store, and i'm not sure if its something that only care can do for free.
