myFaves + Custom Ringtones

My wife and I got our Pearls yesterday, and began setting up our myFaves. Were were hoping yesterday's outages for new subscribers weren't par for the course, but now I'm beginning to wonder.

My wife set custom ringtones for the people in her address book before the myFaves app was pushed down, and since its been pushed, neither of us can set custom ringtones for people in our myFaves (through the myFaves app) or not (people just in our address book). Everyone gets the default ringtone and no one at T-Mobile knows what to do. Has anyone else had this problem?

I am no longer able to get to t-Zones on my phone, occasionally get a java.lang.NullPointerException when the phone starts up, and have had to restart my phone several times today because I get "Call Failed" when I try to dial out. Is the Pearl a lemon? Was myFaves pushed out to quickly? Has anyone else run into these issues?
 
Hadn't had any myFaves issues with the pearl. I got my pearl the following week after it was released.

I've had that java lang error before. I've had that call failed error for the past 2 days.

I was thinking it was just me.

I'm using 8100/4.2.0.51.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~Im new to rabroad,and new to my 7100i.I read here that you can't have realtones on the 7100i.But I heared that you can by receiving a mms with video or audio and then you could just save it.Is this true?
 
I got the Pearl about two weeks ago and also have a new my faves plan no problem with setting custom ringtone and all of my options were reset at the beggining of the month as they were supposed to.

When you were setting up the entries into the myfaves, didn't it let you select a ringtone and picture for that address book entry? I would go to your phone book entry and remove the ringtone that you applied the that entry.

Then go into myfaves and edit the entry, and apply a ring tone there, I think it's trying to play both at once...
 
I've actually made posts on this topic... and no one can tell me how to fix. My Pearl also does the same with the rintones. My g/f is my 1st myfaves and her is the original ringtone, and I can't change it no matter what I do--and when I call her it takes me like 10 times before the call goes through because it always says "call cannot be complete, please check the number and dial again" so I don't know if its her phone, or is it mine?(it only does this for her, everyone else on myfaves does this) And I've had the "call failed" notice yest. for like 5 min. straight, but thats the only time. But yeah none of my ringtones work for my myfaves, so if you ever get this figured out PLEASE let me know!!!
 
~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ I gave a solution to this problem, ill do it once again. 1st thing, delete the custom tone out of the address book entry. 2nd uncheck the exceptions for people in the activated profile. 3rd go to the my faves on the mail screen, press the trackball then edit and put the custom ringtone in there and it should work flawlessly. If you have any further problems feel free to pin me.

In the adress book entry, I don't have a custom ringtone for them--I took that option off awhile ago. And I did all the other steps that you told me and it still doesn't work. When my #1 calls it is the original ringer, and when #2-5 calls it is what the profile is set to on the phone at that time, not the profile that I have slected for them. Plese help!
