Well i've asked several questions about my two bettas. Both very active. And im alright expiereinced and have had 3 bettas before that lived around 4 years.
Well I've always used distilled water, and everybody said that would kill them, so I began using tap with AquaSafe in it. (There in heated glass bowls, water changed regularly). So It was time to change there water so I cleaned Rocks, Bowl, plants, Everything! And I put my Red/Black Crowntail in his bowl (The one that lived) and moved it off to the side. But when I put my White/Red about 5 months old Crowntail in, he swam around for maybe 5 seconds then had a spasm and pretty much died right there, quick.
Hes fead regularly. I always expected my other one to go because hes always lazy, but this one has been nothing but active since i got him.
The only thing I can figure is maybe a tiny bit of soap was left behind in his rocks (although very unlikely) and thats what killed him. But in mere seconds, how could a tiny bit of soap kill the fish? Anyone got any ideas?
