My Xbox 360 sounds like baseball cards in a bicycle spoke.?

I have a problem with my Xbox 360. Who doesn't? Whenever I put a disc in the DVD player it makes a sound much like having a baseball card in the spokes of a bicycle wheel it only happens when the DVD is in the drive and it gets louder when it begins to load the game it doesn't scratch the disc. This has just started recently. It is past my warranty and during the warranty i had to send it in 3 times for disc read error problems. I guess they wanted to wait to actually fix my drive so they can charge 99 dollars to fix it. What i am asking you guys and gals is what exactly is could be wrong is it just the bearings needing oil or something or is the drive getting ready to crap out on me, and is there a simple fix i can do to repair this and keep it "legal" meaning still be able to use xbox live and what not. I can repair electronics if the fix might be complicated.
 
My xbox 360 had the same problem. But i just opened it cleaned out the dust. and it was back to new. I recommend a ball pump because the needle can get in little holes.
