My x box has has the ring of fire four flashes?

In the otherhand, there's nothing wrong with your Xbox 360. Just make sure everything is connected properly. I get the 4 Red Rings numerous times because The AV/HD cable is loose at the back of the 360. Make sure everything is connected properly!
