My wife has been having anal bleeding during bowel movements. A couple of times she had what look like clots mixed in with it. Past couple of times it looked like it was a lot of blood. Almost as if she were on her period , but coming from the back. She thinks it might be a fissure or hemorroids. And want to try Some Stool softener and some high in fiber foods before freaking out and going to the doctor. The blood is bright red , and she says it doesnt hurt. There is no stomach aches or dizzines or vomiting . She says that she can tell when its going to bleed while having a bowel movement, and while passing may irratate a little her a little bit. it doesnt really hurt.She has had fissure before but never with this much blood. 3-4 yrs ago she went to the hospital and had her colon checked. Everything come back good. I dont know if i should wait and see if this stool softener helps or try to convince her to go to the docotor now?
